This week again brought a few new Early Access builds of the JDK and related projects.
On the JDK 7 side, the JDK 7 Update 40 Early Access Releases have been updated to 7u40 Build b38. A list of changes in this build since the previous one is available here.
On the JDK 8 side, the JDK 8 Early Access Releases Build b102 is now available for testing.
This build updates HotSpot in JDK 8 to HotSpot 25 build 44, which turns on Tiered Compilation by default. In addition, this build contains another batch of JSR 310 DateTime API and Nashorn updates, along with a number of bug fixes.
