This week again brought a few new Early Access builds of the JDK and related projects.
On the JDK 7 side, the JDK 7 Update 40 Early Access Releases have been updated to 7u40 Build b40.
This week's 7u40 build also contains the changes introduced in b39 (there was only one):
a fix for issue 8022548: "SPECJVM2008 has errors introduced in 7u40-b34" in the XML processing area, which may be interesting if you happen to use an XML parser that uses a different configuration then the default JDK one.
On the JDK 8 side, the JDK 8 Early Access Releases Build b103 is now available for testing.
This build updates HotSpot in JDK 8 to HotSpot 25 build 45. In addition, this build contains several javac and doclint warning fixes across the core class libraries and adds support for Project Lambda concepts in core reflection, along with a number of bug fixes.
An extensive list of changes since the previous build is linked off the download site.
